Thank you for revealing the great love and grace of God to us. After all these years, I don't understand enough about His grace, and in certain ways, I am still in legalism. In these 3 days of conference, I've been freed. That is why I now say, "I will always stay in this race, I long to enjoy His love more, and become the channel for His love". Thank you Rev. John.

I am a church worker in the north-eastern province of China. God so loved us that He sent his servants from FrontierWorks to bring the message of Grace to my congregation here. The truths have set us free from the bondage of traditions and legalism, thereby liberating us to serve God with a willing and happy heart. Prior to this, my people including myself were so blinded by traditions and legalism that we could not discern the Grace of our Lord. We were so ignorant that we had thought that after receiving Jesus, we would still have to depend on our own efforts to get to Heaven.
But this is such a treacherous path to walk on; to have to rely on works to attain acceptance and right standing before God, and to embrace a belief that God could only love us if we have done good, and would stop loving us if we somehow fail. More than that, we had also believed erroneously that God would use sicknesses to discipline us, and that being poor is spiritual and pleasing to Him.
Imagine, I had served a God whom I believed to be a joy-killer, a stern and strict tyrant, and not at all a loving, caring Father, for 32 years of my life! What misery and bondage I was in! Serving our Lord became such a burden to me; yet not serving Him brought fears of reprisal. As poverty consumed my family, my children started to reject this God that I knew, being too afraid to walk the same path as me. My wife was miserable too, being trapped in sickness and yet begging God to forgive her daily for what she believed to be His punishment on her body. To make matters worse, I was spreading this 'misery' to my congregation, including more than 100 church leaders under me. What a fool I had been! But thank God that He loves me so much, that He brought the Gospel of Grace to me two years ago.
Through FrontierWorks, we now know how much God loves us, and how He has freely given His grace to us, and forgiven us of all sins. We understand how Jesus has become for us the propitiation of sins and redeemed us to become children of God. What a wonderful blessing this is to mankind, and what a blessing to know now that I have a covenant with God, and that Satan is a liar! Now, all my people have come to know this truth which has completely revolutionized our thinking and lives.
I serve God now not because I'm forced to, but because I willingly and gladly do so. It is both full of joy and fulfillment. I now truly enjoy my walk with God, and understand that all that we do must stem from love - whether it is evangelizing, serving one another, preaching or teaching. This is because God loves me unconditionally, and therefore I should love others unconditionally too. My church has gone through great changes, not only has the congregation grown tremendously, it is also full of life! Signs and miracles now follow us, and the conditions in our families have also greatly improved. My wife for instance is now completely healed!
I am so thankful to God for what He has done in our midst. But at the same time, I am painfully aware that over 80 percent of churches in China have yet to know about the truths of God's grace and unconditional love for them. My heart burns with a passion to bring this grace message to all our brethrens and unbelievers in this land. Thank you, FrontierWorkers, for bringing these truths to us, and setting us free!
